Environmental Policy
Our operations can impact daily, both directly and indirectly. Our sites have an Environmental Management System which provides all the framework for any activities and processes undertaken at site. This ensures that we operate not only compliantly but efficiently. We are aware that we need to maintain an environmental policy that is both understandable and accessible to all.
- We are fully committed to complying with codes of practice, legislation and regulations. This assists in the prevention of pollution to land, water and air.
- We share best practice with all relevant bodies to ensure we are kept up to date with any changes.
- Monitor our use of water and energy and look at ways to improve.
- Recycling as much as we possibly can, therefore reducing waste.
- Working towards a paperless environment. Store electronically to save on paper waste.
- Switching to LED lightbulbs and energy saving light switches.
- Reduce travel and encourage more TEAM meetings.
- Look at the efficiency of route management and plan better routes daily to save on fuel, time and emissions which impact climate change.
- Audit the EMS regularly and look for improvements.
- Employee training to reduce carbon footprints
- Identify any risks and hazards to the environment
- Continuously evaluate our performance to ensure we improve our processes
- Regularly audit the EMS along with the commitment to ISO14001 standard
